Flying like playing games? Canada launches VR training system for American pilots

Virtual reality training system demonstrated by CAE

CAE will present its caetrax academy courses and short-term virtual reality trainer program for the first time this week at the industrial services training, simulation and education conference. Throughout the exhibition, the company plans to use these two products for flight demonstration of T-6 trainer.

CAE is inspired by the next generation pilot training program of the U.S. air force, which uses virtual reality and other advanced simulation technologies to train new pilots and improve the pilots aircraft control ability through training.

But Phillipe perey, CAEs head of defense technology, said CAE wanted to provide a package of training services to the U.S. Air Force and international arms dealers based on the principles of next-generation pilot training.
