National Development and Reform Commission: five aspects: ensuring pork consumption and putting frozen pork at the right time

First, we will continue to increase our efforts to promote pig production. The national development and Reform Commission, together with the Ministry of agriculture and rural areas, has increased investment support within the central budget, supported the construction of large-scale pig farms and pig breeding farms, expanded the scope of implementation of livestock and poultry manure resource utilization projects, and supported the construction of projects to improve the protection capacity of animals and plants. Through these support, we have promoted stable production and supply of pigs.

Second, increase meat supply through multiple channels. We will increase the production and supply of beef, mutton, poultry and eggs, expand the import of pork, beef and mutton and other substitutes through multiple channels, and ensure that the overall market supply of meat protein is basically sufficient.

Third, properly implement the frozen pork reserve. At present, the central and local governments have established a certain scale of frozen pork reserve, which will be put into the market at the right time to ensure the demand for pork consumption.

Fourth, we should promote the basic peoples livelihood. We will focus on the urban and rural residents in need, especially the poor, and guide local governments to launch the linkage mechanism of price subsidies in a timely manner according to the price rise, and issue temporary price subsidies in full.

Fifth, closely monitor and predict price changes. Monitor the price of pork in the whole country and all over the country every day, study and judge the trend in the later period, find out the emerging problems in time, and prevent and solve them.

In addition, it will cooperate with relevant departments to strengthen market supervision and maintain a good market order.
