As the first civil sub meter optical transmission three-dimensional surveying and mapping satellite in China, gaofen-7 satellite will play an important role in land surveying and mapping, urban and rural construction, statistical investigation, etc.
Gaofen-7 satellite is the scientific research satellite with the highest mapping accuracy requirements in the high-resolution series of satellites. It is equipped with two-line array stereo camera, laser altimeter and other payloads, breaking through the sub meter level stereo mapping camera technology, and can obtain high-resolution optical stereo observation data and high-precision laser altimeter data. It not only has the same orbit forward and backward stereoscopic imaging ability and sub meter level space With the advantage of inter resolution, it can also use the high-precision elevation information obtained by laser altimeter to greatly improve the elevation accuracy of optical stereo image under uncontrolled conditions, so as to realize the 1:10000 scale satellite stereo mapping for civil use in China, which can meet the requirements of users in basic mapping, global geographic information guarantee, urban and rural construction monitoring and evaluation, agricultural survey and statistics, etc In order to meet the demand of high-precision stereo mapping data, the level of Chinas mapping satellite engineering should be improved, and the self-sufficiency rate of Chinas high-resolution stereo mapping image data should be increased.
The high score project is one of the 16 major projects defined in the outline of the national medium and long term plan for science and technology development (2006-2020). The goal is to build a high-resolution earth data acquisition system based on satellites, Stratospheric Airships and aircraft, improve the corresponding receiving, processing and application systems, and combine with other observation means to form an all-weather, all-time and global coverage Earth observation capability.
Since the implementation of the special project, many satellites have been successfully launched, such as gaofen-1, gaofen-2 sub meter panchromatic, gaofen-3-1 meter radar, gaofen-4 synchronous gaze, gaofen-5 hyperspectral observation, gaofen-6 land emergency monitoring, etc., and the high score data has been widely used. In the follow-up, the high score special project will be further focused on application. The main user departments of gaofen-7 satellite are the Ministry of natural resources, the Ministry of housing and urban rural development and the National Bureau of statistics.
