The association is highly concerned that the Asia Pacific branch of Xinhua News Agency (Hong Kong Branch), located in the east of Queens road, Hong Kong Island, was damaged by masked people in black, the door glass was broken and set on fire. The Association strongly condemns all acts of violence against news organizations and urges the police to deal with them strictly to ensure that news organizations can operate normally without interference.

This afternoon, during illegal assembly, road blocking and violent conflicts in the Hong Kong Island area, a small group of extremists attacked the Asia Pacific General Branch of Xinhua News Agency (Hong Kong Branch). They sprayed words on the outer wall of the agency, smashed the glass at the door, and some people threw incendiary bombs, which caused the fire in the lobby.
