RT describes that each house has an escape route to the citys drainage system. There is a tunnel under the bathtub of one of the houses for sale, which needs to be turned on. In addition, some houses have metal bars on their windows, including one with a reinforced iron door, which was destroyed in a police raid in 2014.
Rt said the properties, which are owned by a state-owned institution, will be auctioned on November 10, starting at 19.4 million pesos (7.15 million yuan). Ricardo Rodriguez Vargas, head of the agency, said the proceeds would be used to buy musical instruments for school bands in Oaxaca.
According to reports, in July this year, Guzman was sentenced to life imprisonment by a U.S. Court and is currently serving a sentence in a U.S. prison.
