Samo sulfur island is located 90 kilometers south of Kagoshima City. It is a volcanic island 3 kilometers north-south and 6 kilometers east-west. The east side of the island is covered with sulfur mountains, and the crater at the top of the mountain has erupted repeatedly in the past. Local residents generally live 3 kilometers away from the southwest of Huoshankou. There are hot springs within 2 kilometers of the crater. In addition to local residents, tourists often visit.
