As of October 31, a total of 31 Vietnamese families reported to the local peoples Committee that their families had disappeared in the UK, including 21 in Yian province and 10 in Hejing Province, according to the website of Vietnams labor daily.

On October 31, the Public Security Department of Hejing province prosecuted the criminal case of illegally organizing others to illegally cross or stay abroad in Hejing Province, according to the Vietnam News Agency.

Ruan Jinnan said that according to the preliminary investigation results and the collected data and evidence, the Public Security Department of Hejing province decided to prosecute the criminal case of illegal organization of others illegal immigration or illegal residence abroad in Hejing Province in accordance with Article 318 of the criminal law.

Earlier, British police found 39 bodies in a container truck in Essex on October 23.

At present, Vietnamese authorities have collected DNA samples of the families of the suspected Vietnamese dead to help identify them.
