We found through interviews that Chinese talents want the power to make important decisions - faster actions and less complicated decision-making processes - and more opportunities to explore international markets. In contrast, many multinationals put Chinese executives in operational positions rather than real leadership positions, according to the head of human resources at a global engineering company.
