President Xi Jinping arrived in Kathmandu by special plane on December 12 and began his state visit to Nepal.
At about 4.55 p.m. local time on October 12, the special plane arrived at Tribwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Xi Jinping stepped out of the hatch, and Nepals president bandalis daughter Usha greeted him on the side of the gangway. Usha presented flowers to Xi Jinping. Soldiers lined up on both sides of the red carpet to make eye-catching rituals.
Bhandari held a welcome ceremony for Xi Jinping at the airport with strong Nepalese national characteristics. Xi Jinping conveyed sincere greetings and good wishes to the Chinese people to the Nepalese people. Xi Jinping pointed out that China and Nepal are connected by mountains and rivers and are friendly from generation to generation. Since the establishment of diplomatic relations 64 years ago, the two countries have adhered to the five principles of peaceful coexistence, inherited traditional friendship, and set up a model of mutual respect and equality between countries of different systems and sizes. I look forward to talking about friendship and cooperation with Nepalese leaders. Xi Jinping left Chennai and arrived in Kathmandu after ending the second informal meeting between China and India. A large number of local students and masses gathered in Xi Jinpings convoy to the airport via the road. Senior officials such as Indian Tamil Nadu State Governor Prohiet were seen off at the airport.
