In May, Huawei was listed by the U.S. Department of Commerce as an entity and restricted to the use of hardware and software in the U.S. supply chain. The ban prohibits Google from granting Huawei licenses for Google Play services and core Google applications such as Play stores, maps, search, Gmail and YouTube.
Phone Arena said Huawei spent $11 billion on products in the United States in 2018. According to Huaweis initial forecast, by the end of this year, Huawei will ship 300 million mobile phones and become the worlds largest smartphone manufacturer. But if there is no Android system with Google Play, Huaweis sales outside China will be affected.
