At 22:55 on October 12, a magnitude 5.2 earthquake struck Beiliu City, Guangxi. Many local residents felt the earthquake and took refuge in broad platforms such as roads.

At 23:20 p.m. on the same day, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from the Beiliu Municipal Government Office that, as the earthquake had just occurred, no information had been received on property losses and casualties in the whole city. A staff member of Beiliu Municipal Government Office said that all departments in the city are currently verifying the collection of relevant information: I just felt the shock, but not very strong.

A 5.2-magnitude earthquake occurred in Beiliu City, Guangxi Province at 22:55 on October 12. The epicenter of the earthquake is located at 22.18 degrees north latitude and 110.51 degrees east longitude. The epicenter topographic map released by the China Seismological Network Center shows that Pingtian Village, Huangtian Village, Potou Village and Chashan Village are within 5 kilometers of the earthquake, and the surrounding areas are mostly mountainous areas.

In addition, a number of netizens tweeted that they felt different degrees of shock in Nanning, Guangdong, Guangzhou and other places.
