New Express reported on October 12 that Nie Qing, a journalist, reported that the new 4K edition of the Founding Ceremony would be launched on October 18. The classic film Founding Ceremony returns with a brand-new look, with higher quality and more shocking audio-visual effect, reappearing the glorious footprint of that year for the broad audience. The final posters and trailers of recent films are on line simultaneously.

Founding Grand Canon premiered nationwide on September 21, 1989. The film has become an enduring classic in Chinese film history by combining documentary and expressive shooting techniques. The 4K new version of Founding Grand Canon, which has been repaired by new scientific and technological means, will be re-released 30 years later, bringing a new audiovisual enjoyment to the audience.

When the film Founding Ceremony was released in 1989, it caused a sensation at home and abroad, reaping the highest box office record of 170 million yuan since the founding of New China. The film won nine awards, including the 10th Golden Rooster Award for Chinese Films, the 13th Hundred Flowers Award for Popular Films and the 5th China Film Watch Award. It also represented Chinese films at the 62nd Oscar Foreign Language Film Exhibition.
