Rumor 1 (see Figure 1 and Figure 2): After the accident, netizens expressed and prayed, hoping that the fewer casualties the better. However, some people deliberately rumored about the number of casualties. In the early morning of November 11, the report was clear that the accident caused 3 deaths and 2 injuries.

Rumor 2 (see Figure 3, figure 4): at about 8:00 p.m. on the 10th, when the rescue work was in a tense state, a wechat screenshot of the scene of the accident rescue was circulated on the Internet, with rumors such as watch is Richard Miller, police chief of a prefecture level city, with 4 million watches, it is estimated that he was busy and didnt remember to take them off. The local police immediately started their work and summoned Gu Mou (male, 32, Wuxi), Li Mou (male, 39, Xinghua) and others to the public security organs. After examination, Gu and Li explained that they had seen a picture of the rescue scene in the Wechat group. In order to attract attention, they fabricated the rumors and published them in different Wechat groups. At 9:00 on the 11th, Jiangsu online police dispelled rumors on the official microblog that the four cars weighing more than 400 tons was the conclusion of an investigation into the traffic accident of Harbins 8.24 viaduct in 2012, which had nothing to do with the Wuxi accident.

Rumor 4 (see Fig. 7, Fig. 8, Fig. 9): Some media published the title Sudden! Wuxi viaduct collapsed, the design unit is listed company Sujiao Branch related reports. Soviet Jiaotong Branch issued a Clarification Announcement on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange on the morning of November 11, saying that after verification, the design of the reported accident bridge had nothing to do with the company. The company will continue to pay attention to and follow up the above-mentioned media reports, reserve the right to take further legal measures and safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the company according to the development of the situation. Subsequently, the Intermediate Design Group issued a Clarification Announcement on the Shanghai Stock Exchange that the bridge deck rollover accident occurred at K135 National Highway 312 in Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, and on Xigang Road on October 10. After self-examination by the company, the design, construction and supervision of the bridge have nothing to do with the Intermediate Design Group Co., Ltd.
