PingWest products play October 11, recently, the State Intellectual Property Office announced a number of patents of Apple, including new patents for MacBook heart rate measurement, wireless headphones, 5G/LTE dual-connection, and Apple VR optical system.

MacBook Heart Rate Measurement: According to the patent report, Macbook is equipped with a processing unit, which can be operable to determine the information by transmitting optical energy to the users body through the first group of microperforations, receiving the reflection part of optical energy from the users body through the second group of microperforations, and analyzing the reflection part of optical energy. According to the diagram, MacBook may support heart rate measurements.

Apple VR Optical System: According to the patent report, the optical system can be a refractive optical system with one or more lens elements. The lens element may include a flat convex lens and a flat concave lens. Partial mirrors can be formed on a convex surface of a flat convex lens. Reflective polarizers can be formed on the plane surface of a flat convex lens or on the concave surface of a flat concave lens. The additional quarter-wave plate can be located between the reflector polarizer and the partial reflector.

Apple 5G/LTE dual-connection: According to the patent report, Apple filed the patent application in February 2018, mainly supporting the 5G/LTE dual-connection of the iPhone. The wireless device may be configured to transmit requests attached to the first network node operating according to the first RAT, and to transmit instructions that the wireless device can maintain a basic concurrent connection with the first network node and the second network node operating according to the second RAT. The wireless device may also be configured to transmit requests attached to a second network node. The request may include an indication that the wireless device can maintain a basic concurrent connection with the first and second network nodes.
