 Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Vice Premier of Singapore will visit China to Chongqing, Beijing and Tianjin


On October 11, Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Geng Shuang chaired a regular press conference.

Geng Shuang announced at the meeting that the 15th meeting of China-Singapore Bilateral Cooperation Joint Committee, the 20th meeting of Sino-Singapore Suzhou Industrial Park Joint Coordination Council, the 11th meeting of Sino-Singapore Tianjin Eco-city Joint Coordination Council and the 3rd meeting of Sino-Singapore (Chongqing) Joint Coordination Council for Strategic Interconnection Demonstration Project will be held in Chongqing on October 15. At the invitation of Han Zheng, Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, Vice Premier Wang Ruijie of the Republic of Singapore will visit China from October 14 to 17 and co-chair the above-mentioned meeting with Vice Premier Han Zheng. In the meantime, Vice Premier Han Zheng will meet with Wang Ruijie, co-chair relevant mechanism meetings, and hold a welcome banquet for Vice Premier Wang Ruijie and his delegation. Vice Premier Wang Ruijie will also visit Beijing and Tianjin after the meeting.

Geng Shuang said that Singapore is a friendly neighbor of China, and the two countries have established an all-round partnership with the times. Fruitful cooperation has been achieved in various fields, especially the high quality and co construction of one belt and one road cooperation. The purpose of the meeting is to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, to sort out and summarize the achievements of cooperation in various fields comprehensively, to make plans and guidelines for the further development of cooperation, and to exchange in-depth views on other international and regional issues of common concern.
