 On September 26, Shanghai Hudong Shipyard banned navigation on some rivers when new ships were discharged from docks


According to the latest shipping announcement released by the official website of China Maritime Administration on September 23, from 11:30 to 13:00 on September 26, 2019, the dock on Pudong side of Shanghai East China Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. was prohibited from navigating up to 500 meters upstream and down to 1000 meters and to 350 meters west of Pudong side of the dock.

The announcement reads as follows:

Time: September 26, 2019, 1130 to 1300.

Waters: From the dock on Pudong side of Shanghai East China Shipbuilding (Group) Co., Ltd. to the front waters of No. 4 dock on Pudong side, the dock is 500 meters upstream, 1000 meters downstream and 350 meters west of Pudong side are prohibited from navigation.

Operating mode: H1823A new ship is out of dock, Donghua No. 3 and Hutuo No. 6 tugboats cooperate with out docking operation, Hutuo No. 10 serves as on-site warning boat.

Notes: 1. Fifteen minutes before docking, the required signal should be displayed in the obvious visibility of the launching vessel and dock.

2. Operating vessel strengthens VHF06 channel guard and dynamic bulletin, and keeps regular lookout.

3. When navigating the waters near the ships operation, keep safe distance, drive cautiously and avoid collision.

4. If the actual wind force is greater than 6 or the visual range is less than 500 meters, the operation will be suspended and postponed for one day.
