Air Force Travel to Trump Hotel Trump: Tasteful, not about me

BEIJING, Sept. 11 (CNN) -- According to the U.S. World Daily, media reports have reported that the U.S. military has changed its routine rules to allow air force officers and soldiers to spend the night at President Trumps private luxury golf resort in Scotland. Trump published an article on social networking website on September 9 denying that he was involved.

Some media reported recently that Trump Group occasionally has US military personnel staying at the Tamberley Luxury Golf Resort in Scotland, while US military aircraft refueling at the airport near the resort. The House of Representatives Supervisory Committee has launched an investigation into the unusual presence of military personnel in Tamberley Resort over the past four years.

Trump tweeted on Tuesday: I had no idea that there were Air Force planes landing at the airport near Tamberley Resort in Scotland and refueling, and that military personnel were lodging in Tamberley. Tamberley is what I own, yes, but the airport is not what I own. It has nothing to do with me. As for accommodation, it shows that they are very tasteful! ________.

In his tweet, he said it had nothing to do with the military staying overnight at the Tamberley Resort.

The U.S. Air Force has ordered that garrisons around the world review accommodation arrangements for Air Force personnel on business trips.

According to convention, in Europe, U.S. military personnel who need refueling aircraft must stay at other U.S. military bases. However, according to a letter from the House Supervisory Committee to the White House this year, the US military has spent a cumulative $11 million on fuel at Prestwick Airport, the closest airport to Templey Resort, since October 2017.

The House Supervisory Committees inquiry was launched in April, focusing on whether the refueling location of the military aircraft involved a conflict of interest with the President and whether the military had secretly assisted the Tamberley resort, where revenue had fallen.

As for Vice President Burnss stay at Trump Private Club in Dunberg during his visit to Ireland last week, the House Supervisory Committee has also launched an investigation.

Trumps tweet on the 9th also made it clear that it had nothing to do with Burns staying at Dunberg Club. However, previous media reports indicated that Burnschief of staff had disclosed that Trump had suggested that Burns stay at Dunberg Club.
