Report: British Bar Drinks, Beer or Tax Reform Cheaper after Europe Leaving

The Social Market Foundation, a think tank in Britain, argues that the legislature should also consider whether to raise tariffs on spirits and introduce incentives to promote the production of low-alcohol beverages.

Investigators report that the introduction of a new lower tax rate on low-alcohol beer could reduce the tax rate on Skol beer from 3% to 2.8%. Investigators pointed out that Stella Artois, Budweiser and Becks also reduced alcohol content in beer due to tax adjustments.

It is reported that JDWetherspoon, which supports the UKs de-Europeanization, has cut the average price of beer in its stores by 20 pence before the de-Europeanization day arrives. (Lin Zhuqing)
