Huang Zhifeng, the Secretary-General of Hong Kong Independence Organization Hong Kong Volunteers who was arrested earlier, was suspected of inciting others to besiege police headquarters on June 21, and was released on bail pending investigation. During this period, he traveled to Taiwan and met with local Taiwan Independent elements.
It is understood that Huang Zhifeng was arrested by Agent O (Organized Crime and Triad Investigation Section) at Hong Kong International Airport this morning (8 August). It is reported that he is being detained on suspicion of violating bail conditions.
According to a follow-up report in the Hong Kong Wen Hui Daily, Huang Zhifeng claimed through his lawyer that his trip to Germany and the United States had been approved by the court. The arrest was believed to be incorrect in bail content and he is expected to be released after a clarification hearing at 9:30 tomorrow morning.
Earlier, after Huang Zhifengs first arrest, the court granted bail of HK$10,000 and allowed him to travel to Taiwan, Germany and the United States for activities.
