A golf course in Eastlake, Atlanta, USA was struck by lightning Thursday, injuring six people.
At the time of the lightning strike, a match was being held at the scene. Lightning struck a big tree near the field, causing injuries. According to the organizers, two lightning strikes occurred simultaneously, one in the maintenance area and the other near the venue. Lightning struck the tree, while the electric spark, the tree instantly emitted smoke, falling branches hit six spectators at the scene.
Fortunately, there were medical staff on the spot, who immediately examined and treated the injured, and their injuries were not serious.
Affected by lightning strikes, the match had to be suspended for the day.
