According to the report, the average download rate of fixed broadband network in China reached 35.46 Mbit/s in the second quarter of 2019, which was 13.2% higher than the previous quarter, and 14.15 Mbit/s higher than the same period last year.
The report also shows that the average download rate of China Mobile broadband users using the 4G network is 23.58 Mbit/s, up 16.6% over the same period last year. According to information, as of the second quarter of 2019, the proportion of broadband optical users in China was more than 91%, and that of 4G users was 77.6%.
Regarding the provinces (districts and municipalities) in China, Shanghai ranks first in the country, reaching 39.10 Mbit/s; Beijing ranks second with 37.63 Mbit/s and Jiangsu ranks third with 37.06 Mbit/s; and 11 provinces in the country have average download rates that exceed the national average.
In addition, the report also released the average first screen rendering time of fixed broadband users in China in the second quarter of 2019 was 0.92 seconds, and the average download rate of network video reached 23.26 Mbit/s.
