The United States withdraws its proposal to sell Patriot anti-aircraft missiles to Turkey

The spokesman said: We keep telling Turkey that if we purchase the S-400 system, the latest proposal for exporting the Patriot system will be withdrawn. Now, our proposal to export the Patriot missile system has met the conditions for recovery.

Turkeys purchase of the Russian S-400 air defense missile system was opposed by the United States. Washington demanded that Turkey abandon the deal and buy the American Patriot system instead of postponing or canceling the threat of selling F-35 fighter cameras to Turkey. Turkey refused to give in and was disqualified by the United States from participating in the F-35 project.

Turkish Defense Minister Hulusi Akar had previously pointed out that Russias second battalion S-400 system will be delivered between August and September.
