Todays Palace Museum is the Net Red Museum that people like to talk about. There are many precious cultural relics and various wonderful exhibitions. Besides grounding gas, it sells well. In many peoples eyes, it was Shan Jixiang who changed the old Palace Museum through a series of measures during his long tenure as the Palace Museum.

Today, the Palace Museum has built five central control rooms with 65 large screens and 3,300 high-definition cameras. We have also increased the rational layout of high-pressure hydrants, upgraded lightning protection facilities, and developed new fire fighting equipment. Shan Jixiang revealed that firefighters were going to exercise. And the robot also has to exercise: once a fire happens, it will rush into the fire quickly and put out the open fire first.

Only such a strong fire fighting force can ensure timely rescue in case of fire. Shan Jiuxiang said that preventive protection is more important. We have carried out a three-year environmental clean-up and renovation, with 10 indoor and 12 outdoor contents.
First of all, the cultural relics scattered in various rooms, such as utensils, ivory and so on, after a lot of efforts, 55,000 pieces of cultural relics scattered in various rooms have been properly collected. After fumigating and sterilizing the mattresses and blankets piled on the kangs of many houses, they entered the weaving and embroidery warehouse.
Outdoor cleaning is more complicated. After two weeks of sweeping, fire hazards such as branches and sundries were eliminated. Weeds on the roof of the Palace Museum are a headache. They can cause the tiles to loosen and the beams to rot if rainwater is poured in.

So we have to uncover the tiles, take out the grass roots, repair the ancient buildings, and patch the seams so as not to let the grass seeds enter again. After two yearsdrying, we can finally announce to the society that there is no grass in the 1200 ancient buildings of the Palace Museum. Shan Jixiang said.
The de-commercialization of the Palace Museum is an important link. Shan Jixiang said that in the past, visitors mostly went along the central axis. As a result, they were considered to have business opportunities. Taihe Gate is also a shop, Qianqingmen Gate is also a shop, and the business atmosphere is too strong. We took it apart. Today, we stand around Longzongmen Square again, without any commercial facilities affecting the magnificent ancient buildings.
According to the general order of visits, the trip to the Imperial Garden is near the end. In the past, hamburgers and roast sausages were sold nearby. People bought them and ate them standing up. Shan Jixiang made an interesting analogy: at noon, the whole imperial garden is a big dining hall. How do you feel the artistic conception of classical gardens?
We move these foods to both sides and set up an audience service center to give the audience a dignified rest. Shan said the biggest effort in cleaning up was to demolish 135 temporary buildings accumulated in the Palace Museum over the decades, including the most dangerous 59 stainless steel houses. After some renovation, Nandaku became a furniture museum, and Nansan showed its original appearance.
Drawing grass or flattening 1 750 covers may seem trivial, but if you dont stick to it, its hard to achieve the final qualitative change. Shan hopes that through unremitting efforts, people can see the beautiful scenery of green space, blue sky, red wall and yellow tile in the Palace Museum.

In order to expand the open area, it is necessary to renovate the ancient buildings while improving the environment. Shan recalls that when President Zheng Xinzhao took office, he started the overall maintenance and protection project of the Palace Museum and decided to spend 18 years repairing all the more than 1200 ancient buildings in the Palace Museum.
Jianfu Palace Garden was burnt down by a fire. Later, with the approval of the state, it was restored today. The Dagao Xuandian Hall, which was once borrowed by the relevant departments to hold exhibitions, was also renovated after the Palace Museum was recovered. Shan Jixiang began to advertise humourously. Today it will be repaired soon. Welcome to visit it.
The comfort level of visitors has been improved, the open area has been expanded, and the audience has been increasing. In 2015, the special exhibition of Shiqubaodi was held, and the cultural phenomenon of Palace Museum Running also appeared. So an old gentleman complained to Shan Jixiang at that time: What happened to the Forbidden City? How can an exhibition be like a sports meeting?
I quickly admitted my mistake and said that we should do a good job in the sports meeting. Therefore, the Palace Museum made 20 brands and 1000 chest cards overnight, which were distributed to the queuing audience and entered in sequence. Shan Jixiang laughed and said, Later I heard that museums all over the world hold exhibitions. Only the Palace Museum has entrance style.
But there were so many people in the audience that they stayed in the evening. At eight oclock in the evening, Danjiuxiang visited the audience and found that everyone was thirsty, so he quickly asked the staff to cook tea and deliver it to them. At twelve oclock in the evening, the audience shouted hungry, and he took the staff to deliver instant noodles to the audience. When the last spectator comes out of the pavilion, its almost dawn.

From this incident, Shan Jixiang found that 99% of the cultural relics can no longer be stored in the warehouse. The people have strong cultural needs. We must open more areas and hold more exhibitions. Slowly, the Palace Museum has opened only 30% of the area in the past, but now it has opened 80%. Many places that used to be closed area audience stop have become exhibition halls.
There is no dignity when our cultural relics are not protected. Only when they are repaired will they shine in front of the audience. Shan said that in 2014, the whole hospital was determined to make the Forbidden City more than 1.8 million pieces of cultural relics must be collected in good spirits when it was built 600 years ago. This is the most important work we have fought for in these years.
With the efforts of all the people in the Forbidden City, Duanmen became the Digital Museum, Changyin Pavilion was repaired, and Chinese traditional opera was re-performed... The Palace Museum of Ground Gas won the audiences favor and became a veritable net red.
Shan Jixiang slowly explored the idea of cultural relics protection work: for a long time, we regard the protection of cultural relics as a department, industry and systematic work. In fact, everyone has the right and responsibility to protect cultural relics. Only when the right to know, to participate, to supervise and to benefit from the protection of cultural relics is entrusted to millions of people, can cultural relics be truly safe.
In the past, when we opened 30% of the area, 250 employees would pull the net. Today, 80% of the area is open, and more than 700 employees will pull the net to clear it. Every corner should be carefully inspected. A powerful new security system will be launched, and the whole night will be safe. Shan Jixiang said.

Earlier, a Book I Build Cultural Relics in the Palace Museum was very popular. Many people were concerned about the cultural relics in the Palace Museum. Shan Qiuxiang revealed that 88 new employees were recruited this year, and more than 40,000 people signed up. We have opened the Palace Museum Heritage Hospital to show you what our 200 doctors are doing.
He hoped that the opening of the Palace Museum would become an oasis of culture in peoples lives. A good museum is not to build a tall building and reopen it, but to dig deep into its own cultural resources, to become a museum where people are unwilling to go back and will come back later.
