In his message to Putin, Kim Jong-un said: The friendship established by the Korean and Russian people in the arduous struggle against Japan continues to this day, and the Korean people will never forget the heroic Red Army officers and soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the cause of liberating North Korea.

Kim Jong-un also said that the current DPRK-Russian relations are benignly developing in line with the consensus and agreement reached at the first meeting in April this year. We firmly believe that DPRK-Russia relations will inherit the fine traditions and enter a new stage. The friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries will continue to develop in political, economic and cultural fields.
