Faced with the pressure of rising prices, on August 13, the relevant heads of the National Development and Reform Commission responded to social concerns, saying that the main structural factors affecting the overall price level were the fall in the prices of fruits and vegetables, the bumper harvest of summer grain, the stable production of agricultural products and the adequate supply of industrial products. The overall price level of China is expected to remain basically stable. Operation situation.

The price of seasonal fruits fell in the late period of market

Yue Xiuhu, Director of the Price Department of the National Development and Reform Commission, said on August 13 that with seasonal fruit coming on the market, especially in the main apple and pear producing areas, the production situation is good and the harvest is expected, and the price of fruits in the later period is expected to fall further.

Earlier, Dong Yaxiu, Director of the Urban Department of the National Bureau of Statistics, said that food prices rose in July, driving the consumer price index (CPI) the most. Pork and fresh fruit prices together affected CPI by about 1.22 percentage points. Prices of other meat, eggs and fresh vegetables also rose.

In July, fresh fruit prices fell by 6.2% annually, affecting CPI by about 0.14 percentage points; although the increase was 39.1% year-on-year, the increase narrowed by 3.6 percentage points.

In fact, the downward trend in the price of fresh fruits has begun to appear since May this year. According to the data monitored by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Areas, the average wholesale price of watermelon in June was 3.28 yuan per kilogram, which was 29.5% lower than the previous year and 26.2% higher than the previous year. Since the third week of May, the wholesale price of watermelon has fallen for eight consecutive weeks.

For this years fruit prices, Tangke analysis, fruit prices continue to run at a high level, with obvious stage, seasonal characteristics. The main reason is that the main apple and pear producing areas suffered from cold weather in the late spring last spring, resulting in a large reduction in yield. In addition, some tropical fruits, such as southern litchi, also suffered a reduction in production this spring, which resulted in a tight supply of fruit in the short term.

Vegetable centralized market prices lower

Monitoring data from 36 large and medium-sized cities showed that the average retail price of 15 vegetables fell back to 3.02 yuan per kilogram in early August, 28.6% lower than the high point in mid-February. Among them, the prices of cucumber, cabbage and tomato dropped by 12%, 9.2% and 8.4% respectively. Later prices are expected to continue to fall and remain seasonally volatile.

Analyzing the trend of vegetable prices in the second half of the year, Tangke said that with the large number of seasonal vegetables on the market, the supply of vegetable on land increased rapidly, and the centralized supply of vegetable delayed in the earlier period, vegetable prices in the later period are expected to be mainly downward seasonally, and some varieties may also have the risk of unsalability.

According to Tangkes analysis, vegetable prices tend to rise in the first quarter and fall in the second quarter, and June and July are the low points of vegetable prices in the whole year. Vegetable prices in the first half of the year were higher than those in the same period last year, mainly because the main vegetable producing areas in winter and spring were affected by the cold weather in the late spring and the continuous rain and little sunshine, which led to delays in the production and marketing of spring vegetables, and also driven by the rising cost.

Fruit prices farewell to high vegetable prices fluctuated under the influence of rainfall

Due to the large-scale market of seasonal fruits, the price of fruits in Beijing has dropped significantly in recent years. Yesterday, Beijing News reporters learned in the new market that the weighted average price of fruits in the new market has bid farewell to the previous high operating state and is close to the same price level in the same period of the year. Vegetable supply is also higher than in previous years, and vegetable prices are also in a low operating state.

Apple prices have fallen back to normal

According to the head of the Statistics Department of Beijing New Area, the price of fruits has declined significantly since the beginning of August. The main reason is that large quantities of land fruits such as peaches, watermelons and grapes have reached the mature season.

A few months ago, fruit prices in Beijing soared. Reporters visited Beijing at that time to learn that one of the main reasons for the sharp rise in fruit prices is that apple, which accounts for half of the sales, is in short supply and almost doubles the price. But today, apples are also the first to fall in fruit.

According to Zhang Aidang, the new Apple King, when the price of apples rose to its highest level in May this year, the wholesale price of Shandong apples was close to 9 yuan per kilogram, which increased by more than 40%. On the one hand, apples in Shanxi, Gansu and other places suffered from the disaster, resulting in a reduction in production. On the other hand, it was also affected by the increase in apple futures.

At present, new apples have come on the market one after another, and some of the previously hoarded apples have come out to trade, so the price naturally declines. Zhang Aidang said. Shaanxi Apple was first listed. At present, the wholesale price of Shaanxi Gala apple in the new market is 1.80-3.50 yuan/kg. The market period is about half a month earlier than Shanxi, and it can be sold for more than one month. Later, by the end of August, Shandong Yantai Gala Apple will be on the market, and then it will end after linking up with Fuji apple.

According to reports, this years Gala apples in Shaanxi, Shanxi and other places have not suffered serious natural disasters, belonging to the harvest year, so the price is lower than the same period last year, after the formation of batch listing, the price should still have room to fall.

The average price of fruits is close to the same period of the year.

According to statistics, the weighted average price of fruits in the new market on August 9 is 2.79 yuan/kg. According to the Statistics Department of Xinxingdai, the price trend of fruits is relatively stable. At present, it has bid farewell to the previous high-level operation and is close to the price level of the same period of the year.

Reporters visited to see that the prices of some newly listed varieties are relatively high, such as Yunnan orange, Sichuan pomegranate and so on. The wholesale price of Huangguan pear is 2.20-2.50 yuan per kilogram, which is more than 30% higher than that of the same period last year. According to the merchants, there are many pear varieties on the market at present, but it is not the peak of the market in the near future. So after the new fruit is listed, the price will show a state of high opening and low going, and it is now in a relatively strong period of time. Beginning this month, pear-producing areas all over the country will gradually enter the period of mass listing, so the downward price is the main trend.

According to the merchants in the new land market, this years pear production in all areas is very large, belonging to the performance of the big year. The output is more than 50% higher than last year, so the sharp decline in Pear prices is irresistible.

Recent rainfall has led to higher vegetable prices

In the past two days, Typhoon Lichma ravaged Shouguang, Shandong Province, a vegetable town. Some greenhouses were seriously damaged, leading to the rise of some Shouguang vegetables in the new market. Qin Yongjun, a big seller of Shouguang vegetables in the new market, said that the prices of some single vegetables from Shouguang, such as cucumber, balsam pear, long eggplant, cucumber and round eggplant, had been affected. On the one hand, vegetable harvesting has declined, and logistics has also been affected. Some vegetables such as balsam pear, luffa and eggplant, which are the main products of Shouguang, have increased by about 30%. Qin Yongjun, for example, said that the purchase price of balsam pear in the past few days was 1.2 yuan and 1.3 yuan per kilogram, and now the purchase price is about 2 yuan per kilogram.

But Qin Yongjun also said that Shouguang disaster had little impact on vegetable prices in Beijing. In this season, vegetables on the market in Beijing mainly come from the northern producing areas. Shouguang vegetables are sold in Beijing very little, less than 1%.

The reporter learns from Xinfang that since August, the weighted average price of vegetables in Xinfang market has been running lower than that in the same period last year. On August 12, the weighted average price of vegetables in the new market was 1.95 yuan/kg, up 5.41% from 1.85 yuan/kg on August 5 a week ago, and down 4.88% from 2.05 yuan/kg in the same period last year.

Zhang Yuelin, general manager of Beijing Xinfangdi Market, said: The main reason for this weeks price rise is that the recent frequent rainfall in northern production areas has affected vegetable growth (some inadequate light) and harvesting, resulting in some fluctuations in vegetable prices. These fluctuations are temporary and do not have a trend nature. When it rains, the price of vegetable rises, and after it falls. At present, the feedback from the origin shows that the vegetable planting area in the cold area of northern China in summer is roughly the same as that in the same period last year, but the temperature in this years cold area is similar to that in the perennial period, and there is no extreme high temperature weather, which is very suitable for vegetable growth. Vegetables grown well in the northern and cold regions, with sufficient supply and relatively low prices.

The price of cauliflower, beans and peppers was relatively low in August due to the adjustment of planting structure of individual varieties, while other varieties, such as tomatoes and lettuce, also experienced excessive sales pressure due to the expansion of planting. So, although vegetable prices have risen overall this week, prices are still relatively low after the rise.
