Sergei Dronov, deputy commander of the Russian Aerospace Army, said that the national test of the latest Russian Fifth Generation fighter Su-57 would be completed in 2019 and that the identification of the Mig-35 was planned to be completed by the end of 2021.

Sergei Dronov said in an interview: The national test of MiG-35 is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021, and Su-57 is scheduled to be completed this year. He also mentioned that after the Sochi Conference, the Supreme Commander-in-Chief (Russian President Vladimir Putin) assigned the task of changing the Su-57 for three regiments.

At the same time, he pointed out that the use of Chengbi MiG-35 fighter aircraft is lower than the current multi-function 4++ fighter Su-30SM and Su-35S, and its flight hour cost is about two-thirds of the Su series.

The Su-57 is Russias fifth-generation fighter aircraft, which was launched for the first time in 2010. According to the developer, the aircraft combines high maneuverability with supersonic flight capability. It is also equipped with modern airborne equipment system and has strong stealth, which ensures that the Su-57 fighter can surpass its competitors. The Russian Ministry of Defense signed a contract for the purchase of 76 Su-57 units at the Army-2019 exhibition.

MiG-35 is the latest multi-functional 4++ fighter. The flight test of the MiG-35 began on January 26, 2017, and a public announcement was made in Moscow the next day.
