DPRKs Ministry of Foreign Affairs: Hong Kong is Chinas Hong Kong one country, two systems can not be destroyed

Overseas Network, August 12, according to KCNA 11, a spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the same day that he fully supported the position and measures of the Chinese Party and government to resolve the situation in Hong Kong.

Reported that a spokesman for the DPRK Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that DPRK fully supports the position and measures taken by the Chinese Party and government to safeguard national sovereignty, security, territorial integrity and Hong Kongs prosperity and stability.

The spokesman said that the DPRK was concerned and opposed to the recent naked attempts by external forces to interfere in Hong Kong affairs, which are purely Chinas internal affairs, to undermine the security and order of Hong Kong society and to damage the lives and property of citizens.

The spokesman stressed that the DPRKs principled position is that Hong Kong is Chinas Hong Kong and that no country, organization or individual should be allowed to undermine Chinas sovereignty, security and one country, two systems.

According to Xinhua News Agency, North Koreas Labor News published an article at the end of July pointing out that no country, organization or individual has the right to interfere in Hong Kongs affairs. The commentary said that whoever it is should respect Chinas sovereignty and stop interfering in Hong Kongs affairs in any way. Hong Kongs affairs belong to Chinas internal affairs. Excluding external interference, they must be resolved in accordance with the wishes of the Chinese people.

In response, Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying said at a regular press conference on July 30 that China appreciates the DPRKs just voice on the Hong Kong issue.
