Intelligent door lock comparative test: more than 80percent can be unlocked with false fingerprints

IT Home, August 12, according to Beijing Business Daily, yesterday, the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumer Association jointly released the results of the comparative test of intelligent door locks. The results showed that more than 60% of the IC card keys of intelligent door locks could be cracked and duplicated, and more than 80% of the fake fingerprints could be made to unlock them.

It is understood that this intelligent door lock comparison test involves 38 samples of 28 brands, and the purchase price varies from 790 yuan to 3700 yuan. The comparative test mainly aims at the safety and reliability related to intelligent door lock, including electromagnetic compatibility test, environmental test, IC card unlocking test, fingerprint unlocking test, password logic security test and circuit abnormality test.

After testing, 8 out of 38 samples of smart door lock had abnormal response to EMC test; 6 samples could not be unlocked at very low temperature; 24 samples of IC card keys could be cracked and duplicated; 14 samples of smart door lock had the function of fingerprint in vivo, but the actual measurement did not have this function, and 32 samples were suspected of false propaganda; The fake fingerprints that can be made are unlocked; 30 samples have poor reliability.

Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Consumer Association recommends that consumers choose intelligent door lock products with semiconductor fingerprint identification technology, which is safer than photoelectric fingerprint door lock. At the same time, it suggests that manufacturers propagate moderately and not over-propagate living fingerprints. It also suggests that smart door lock products with virtual password should be selected and multiple passwords should be set in the process of use.
