After the rainstorm, the main street was flooded to waist mans canoe ferry: 5 yuan per person (source:)
On August 10, Shenyang, Liaoning Province, heavy rains caused a river to accumulate water under a bridge, making it impossible for pedestrians to pass through. In the evening rush hour, a large number of pedestrians were blocked from going home. Two men bought their own canoes and ferried pedestrians across the river at the stagnant water area. One charged 5 yuan, traveled for about 10 minutes, pulled 3 to 4 people at a time, and nearly 100 people took the boat in an hour or so.
