According to Weifang Municipal Government Information Office official Wechat news, on the afternoon of August 11, Weifang Municipal Peoples Government held a press conference on Typhoon Lichma defense work. Entrusted by Huixinan, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, Tian Qingying, Mayor of the Municipal Party Committee, Liu Jianguo, Standing Committee of the Municipal Party Committee and Vice Mayor of the Municipal Party Committee, briefed Weifang on the work related to Typhoon Lichma, and the relevant comrades in charge of municipal water conservancy, emergency, meteorology and hydrology departments participated in the conference.

The press conference revealed that under the influence of Typhoon No. 9, Lichma, from 6:00 on August 10 to 13:00 on August 11, there was a heavy rainstorm in Weifang City. The average rainfall in Weifang City was 217.5 mm, equivalent to 3.349 billion cubic meters, which was 4.28 mm and 578 million more than last years average rainfall in Wenbian, respectively. Cubic, rainfall intensity exceeded last years Wenbian intensity, which is the largest rainfall since the hydrological record was recorded in 1952.

From 6:00 on August 10 to 13:00 on August 11, there were 252 monitoring points in Weifang City, 201 of which exceeded 100 mm, of which 6 were more than 400 mm, 54 were 300-400 mm and 66 were 200-300 mm. The maximum point rainfall is 478.8 mm in Linqu Zengjiagou.

As of 13:00 on November 11, 17 large and medium-sized reservoirs in Weifang City had discharged floodwater with a total discharge of 7149 cubic meters per second and a total discharge of 310 million cubic meters. Among the 27 large and medium-sized reservoirs in the city, 9 of them, Yishan, Songshan, Danhe, Daguan and Mushan, have exceeded the flood limit and are carrying out flood regulation. Weihe, Quhe and Mihe rivers have normal flow. The Danhe and Yao rivers in Shouguang are already full of rivers and are making every effort to rescue them.

The torrential rains and floods destroyed some agricultural production facilities, grain fields, roads, bridges and culverts, housing and public buildings, municipal infrastructure, industrial and commercial enterprises in Weifang City. Preliminary statistics showed that the direct economic losses were more than 6 billion yuan.

In addition, no casualties have been reported. As of 10:00 on November 11, 31072 people had been transferred from Weifang. Among them, there are 13114 Shouguang, 4775 Anqiu, 4024 Linqu, 4500 Changle, 2033 Qingzhou, 300 Changyi, 691 Weicheng, 457 Zhucheng, 417 Kuiwen, 316 Fangzi, 283 Gaomi and 162 Binhai.
