Titanium media reported on August 11 that Elon Musk, CEO of SpaceX, was determined to send humans to Mars, according to foreign media reports. To do this, humans need a huge spaceship powered by an unprecedented new rocket engine. The Raptor engine is the future direction of SpaceX.
The Raptor engine is designed to power SpaceXs new, reusable spacecraft, interstellar spacecraft and super heavy rockets. In design, these giant spacecraft can carry up to 100 people into space at the same time. SpaceX plans to put humans into lunar orbit in 2023 in preparation for a trip to the moon and Mars. In February 2019, SpaceX tested the first flying version of the Raptor engine, and last week conducted a flight test of the Raptor engine during a jump test of the Starhopper prototype spacecraft.
