The 30-year-old Shinagawa was born in Sakura Osaka and joined Dortmund in 2010. As a core member, he helped Dort win the Bundesliga Championship for two consecutive years. Xiangchuan joined Manchester United in 2012 and won the Premier League championship in the 2012-13 season with his team, but his performance in the Premier League did not meet expectations and gradually lost his place. In 2014, Xiangchuan returned to Dortmund.
