According to the report, Facebook plans to set up a new committee under the mediation agreement to check the implementation of user data confidentiality requirements. Reported that the release date of the agreement has not yet been determined, and is expected to be published before the companys report on July 24.

Facebook sent a letter to the European Commission in early April 2018 confirming that Cambridge Analytics may have obtained data from up to 2.7 million European users.

According to reports, Cambridge Analysis began to inappropriately obtain some user information in 2014, and use the fear of users to produce targeted advertising. The company advised Trumps campaign during the 2016 U.S. election, affecting about 700,000 residents of Washington, D.C.
