Netease Technologies News July 25, according to foreign media reports, Samsung announced today that it has made improvements to the Galaxy Fold screen and will start selling in September. The price will still be $1980.
Four months ago, when several media used the test version of the product, they found that after tearing off the screen protector, the mobile phone would have screen failure. So Samsung delayed the launch of the foldable phone.
The new design improvements aim to protect flexible but fragile screens.
Following is Samsungs official description of the changes to the new version of Galaxy Fold:
u00b7 The top protective film of the Infinity FlexDisplay display has been extended beyond the border, which makes it an integral part of the entire display structure and will not be removed.
u00b7 Galaxy Fold has been further enhanced to better protect the device from external particles while maintaining its iconic foldable experience.
u00b7 The top and bottom of the hinge area are reinforced with new protective caps.
u00b7 A metal layer is added under the Infinity FlexDisplay screen to enhance screen protection.
u00b7 The space between Galaxy Folds fuselage and hinge is reduced.
In early July, it was reported that Samsung was in the final stage of producing a commercial version of Galaxy Fold. It is also reported that the company is also developing a flip-flop foldable mobile phone, and has developed dozens of prototypes. (Lebanon)
