The Minneapolis Police Department released all the evidence and 149 pages of investigation report on the suspected rape of Liu Jingyao, a female student from the University of Minnesota, by the founder and CEO of Jingdong on Tuesday, including high-definition surveillance video and previously unexposed recordings of police investigation into Liu Qiangdong. In the recording, Liu Qiangdong mentioned that the woman invited him into the apartment, took a bath together and had sex. On December 21, Minnesotas Henneping County Attorney Mike Freeman announced that after a thorough investigation by the local police, Liu Qiangdongs suspected sexual assault case was found to be seriously underevidenced, and the prosecutors office decided not to prosecute Liu Qiangdong for sexual assault. On April 19, this year, the female students involved sued Liu Qiangdong in the United States in a civil lawsuit and demanded compensation of $50,000. The case will be heard on September 11.
