For the reasons for self-built express cabinets, observers told reporters that express companies want to protect their own data and avoid leakage. In addition, out of the attempt to occupy the market, express companies hope to cover more markets. If you dont do it, someone else will do it, and then the voice will be monopolized by others.

At present, the delivery function of the whole express cabinet industry is relatively perfect, and the receiving and sending function still needs a development process. It is worth noting that in the competition for this market, the rookie network has long been laid out. According to Yunda announcement, Shenzhen Weirong shares 48.24%, the largest shareholder, Shunfeng shares 14.42%, the second largest shareholder; Shentong and Yunda, which originally accounted for 9.09% and 2.72% respectively, have withdrawn from the ranks of shareholders. So far, coupled with the withdrawal of Zhongtong before, Tongdao has completely withdrawn from Fengchao.

Market participants have told Xinjing News that the Department of Communications has the intention of leaving Shunfeng as a major shareholders nest and turning to Ali rookie. In this regard, Xu Yong, an expert in express delivery industry, once told the Beijing News that withdrawing from Fengchao may be an agreement with restrictions on competition and has nothing to do with the loss of Fengchao. Zhao Xiaomin, an expert on express delivery, said that Shentong Yundas withdrawal was earlier than the market expected, but within the expected range, the withdrawal of the relevant parties would not affect the normal use of users, and the withdrawal of the access system would accelerate the market layout of the express terminal industry.

According to the data of the State Post Office, the number of express cabinets in China in 2018 is about 200,000. It is expected that by 2020, the rate of express inbound will reach 20%. The corresponding demand for express cabinets is about 76 million. The market demand and potential are huge. However, although as a head player, Fengchaos profit is not optimistic. As of May 31, 2018, Fengchaos operating income was 288 million yuan, its net profit was - 249 million yuan, and its total assets was 6.311 billion yuan.

Aiming at the revenue problem of express terminal enterprises such as intelligent express cabinet, Yang Daqing told Beijing News that express terminal services are difficult to develop in isolation, and only relying on the whole logistics link can it be valuable. If profits are sought in the short term, the service chain may be fragmented.

Fengchao told the Beijing News that in 2019, Fengchao will work on advertising sales, value-added services for C-end users, and commercial customization projects to increase revenue.


Intelligent express cabinet will become the mainstream of express delivery?

In view of whether the express companys self-built intelligent express cabinet will abandon Fengchao, industry observers said that at present, it will not. In the field of intelligent express cabinet, Fengchao occupies an absolute first-mover advantage, appearing earlier in the industry and has a higher market share.

Zhao Xiaomin, an expert in logistics industry, said that the diversified terminal delivery solutions, such as direct door-to-door distribution, placement in collection points and cooperation with post stations, will still have a strong vitality for a long time in the future.

Zhao Xiaomin said that for quite a long time, intelligent express cabinet is still an important part of express terminal, but express delivery door-to-door is still the mainstream. In this regard, many express companies have told reporters that intelligent express cabinet is still a supplement to terminal distribution. It shows that a single express cabinet market is difficult to have a large space for development, and the solution of end-to-end integration has a greater opportunity for development.

In addition, according to the website of the State Post Office, the Measures for the Administration of Operating License of Express Business, which came into effect on January 1, 2019, stipulates that when operating express business, it shall obtain the operating license of express business according to law and accept the supervision and management of the postal administration department and other relevant departments; without permission, no unit or individual may operate it.
