Huang Jie, the scene commander of the Blue Sky Rescue Team, introduced that the search and rescue was interrupted because of the intermittent rain, which was heavy at 19:00 on July 24, and the search and rescue was suspended. The Beijing News reported earlier that at about 21:20 on July 23, a landslide occurred in Chagou Formation of Pingdi Village, Jichang Town, Shuicheng County, Guizhou Province. After investigation and verification, there were 23 landslides involving 27 houses, 21 of which were buried, and a total of 77 households, of which 21 had contacted outside. A local press conference held around 18:00 on July 24 said that the landslide had killed 13 people, rescued 11 people, lost 32 people and contacted 21 villagers outside the country.

The Blue Sky Rescue Team is responsible for the right side of the landslide body. Up to now, four bodies of the victims have been found, all in the area of about 100 square meters.

Huang Jie said that at present, the search and rescue is very difficult and the risk is increased, and the probability of survival of the trapped people may not be very high. As for the next search and rescue plan, it is still awaiting notification from the field command.
