In his annual State of the Union address to the Russian Federal Conference on March 1, 2018, Putin also introduced the Pioneer missile and other latest weapon systems. Putin said the missiles speed exceeded Mach 20. At the end of December 2018, the Russian Ministry of Defense launched the Pioneer Integrated System.
