Overseas Network, July 9 (OOCN) - The US State Department has recently approved the sale of weapons and equipment worth about $2.2 billion to Taiwan. A spokesman for the Taiwan Office, Ma Xiaoguang, said in response to an inquiry on July 9 that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has made clear our solemn position on this issue. We firmly oppose the U.S. aggressive interference in Chinas internal affairs and serious damage to peace and stability in the Taiwan Strait. The US side should immediately withdraw its arms sales plan to Taiwan and stop sending serious wrong signals to the separatist forces of Taiwan independence.
Again, I would like to remind the DPP authorities that any act of coercing foreign self-esteem and raising antagonism will surely set fire to themselves and bring bad consequences to themselves.
