Russian Satellite News Agency reported on July 9 that North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited Russias coastal border area at the end of April and met with Russian President Putin in Vladivostok. This is the first contact between the leaders of the two countries and the first visit to Russia since Kim Jong-un took power in 2011.
The Russian Embassy posted a message on the social website: In memory of the recent visit to Russia by Kim Jong-un, Chairman of the State Council of the DPRK, and his meeting with President Putin, the DPRK issued two stamps. The stamp reads in Russian and Korean: In commemoration of Comrade Kim Jong-uns visit to Russia, Chairman of the Labour Party of Korea, Chairman of the State Council of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Democratic Peoples Republic of Korea. The social networking site also published photos of the stamp, including one of two leaders.
