According to the Zhejiang Provincial Procuratorate, on July 8, Yuan Guofang, a former official of the Administration and Inspection Office of the Zhejiang Branch of the State Administration of Foreign Exchange, who was suspected of corruption, was investigated by the Shangcheng District Supervisory Committee of Hangzhou and transferred to the Shangcheng District Peoples Procuratorate of Hangzhou for examination and prosecution.

At present, the Peoples Procuratorate of Shangcheng District of Hangzhou has taken compulsory measures to monitor the residence of the suspect, Yuan Guofang, and the case is under further examination.

Yuan Guofang, male, was born in August 1966. In February 1994, the Peoples Procuratorate of Shangcheng District of Hangzhou City filed a case against Yuan Guofang, who fled abroad before the case was committed. In October 2003, Interpol issued a red arrest warrant.

On April 9, this year, under the overall coordination of the International Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Coordination Group, Yuan Guofang, a suspect of duty crimes who had fled for 25 years, returned home to submit his case after solid work by the Zhejiang Provincial Escape Office and the relevant parties in Hangzhou, and the proceeds of his crime had been recovered.
