Hu Wenhui, spokesman and chief of the office of the State Intellectual Property Office, said today that he was concerned about the U.S. Senators proposal to prohibit Huawei from seeking legal relief. The State Intellectual Property Office of China has consistently insisted on the equal treatment and protection of intellectual property rights of domestic and foreign enterprises. In the first half of this year, the application data of foreign countries in China maintained a steady growth, which fully reflects the international communitys confidence in Chinas intellectual property protection. At the same time, we also hope that the United States will fulfil its international obligations related to intellectual property rights, treat Chinese enterprises fairly, fairly and equally, and effectively protect the legitimate rights and interests of patentees in the United States, including Chinese enterprises.
