U.S. Central Command released video of Iranian troops dismantling mines accusing Iran of planning attacks (Source:)

On June 14, the United States Central Command released a video and photograph taken by a P-8 reconnaissance aircraft. It claims that Iran dispatched a speedboat to take the mine eight hours after the attack and that the process was just captured by the photoelectric system of the patrol P-8 patrol aircraft.

The Central Command claimed that the armed men with rifles in the video were the Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Navy, and they cleared unexploded mines hanging from an attacked tanker in the Gulf of Oman on their boats.

Officials say the videos and photos prove that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy planned to attack two oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman.

On the 13th, a Japanese tanker bound for Singapore and another tanker bound for Taiwan were suspected of being attacked in the Gulf of Oman. Subsequently, the US and Iran each insisted on accusing the other side of planning the attack, and claimed that their Navy rescued the attacked crew.

In addition to videos, the U.S. Central Command released a timetable for a series of events on Thursday night:

At 8 a.m. on the 13th, when the distress signal was sent out, the two attacked tankers were in the international waters of the Gulf of Oman, about 10 nautical miles apart. At the time of the attack, the destroyer Banbridge was about 40 nautical miles from Altair on the Front Line, and then the ship immediately went to the attacked tanker.

At 8:09 a.m. local time, US military aircraft observed an Iranian Revolutionary Guard Navy Hendijan patrol boat and several Revolutionary Guard speedboats/coastal speedboats close to the Front Altair tanker.

At 9:12 a.m., U.S. military aircraft spotted an Iranian Revolutionary Guard speedboat pulling a life raft from the waters near the tanker Altair Front Line.

At 9:26 a.m. local time, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard asked the Hyundai Dubai steamship, which rescued the crew from the Front Altair passenger ship, to hand over the rescued crew to the Iranian guard speedboat. The Hyundai Dubai steamer handed over the rescued crew of the Altair liner to Irans Revolutionary Guard speedboat as required.

At 11 a.m., the destroyer Banbridge approached the Dutch tugboat Coastal Ace. The Dutch tugboat rescued 21 crew members of the Japanese Kuohua Courage. The U.S. Army claimed that the Iranian Navy was trying to go to the Dutch tugboat Coastal Ace, but it was expelled by the captains brave request. The ship succeeded in rescuing the crew of the Guohua Courage before the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.

At 4 p.m., the Gashti patrol boat of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard approached the Guohua Courage, and the crew of the Revolutionary Guard cleared the unexploded mines on board.

The United States Central Command said that in view of the current situation, the United States Central Command will send a second U.S. warship, the U.S. Navy Aliberg class destroyer Mason (DDG-87), into the Gulf of Oman to support the destroyer Banbridge, both of which belong to the Lincoln carrier strike brigade.

Evidence released by the Central Command was filmed by the US destroyer Banbridge

Before the U.S. Central Command statement, U.S. Secretary of State Pompeo accused Iran of attacking two commercial tankers in international waters of the Gulf of Oman late Thursday.

Pompeo accused Iran of plotting the attack: Pompeos official account

Pompeo said the U.S. government holds the Islamic Republic of Iran responsible for todays attack in the Gulf of Oman.

Pompeo pointed out that the U.S. government based its conclusions on intelligence, the weapons used by the attackers, the level of expertise needed to carry out operations, and the recent similar attacks launched by Iran. No organization in the region, except Iran, has such high level of resources and expertise to take such complex actions.

Pompeo said Iran planned the attack because the Iranian authorities forced us to lift the current high-pressure sanctions.

We will defend our strength and interests and stand with our partners and allies to maintain global business and regional stability, Pompeo said.

At present, Pompeo has not mentioned how Americans should defend their own strength and interests. A statement issued late Thursday by the U.S. Central Command said the attacks were a threat to shipping and international trade, but also sought to ease tensions in the region.

We do not intend to be involved in new conflicts in the Middle East, the statement said. We will defend our own interests, but fighting with Iran is not in our strategic interests, nor in the best interests of the international community.

In response, the Iranian authorities responded immediately after Pompeo accused Iran. According to Reuters on June 14, Irans representative to the United Nations said on June 13 that Iran firmly denied the U.S. claim that Iran was responsible for the attack and condemned the U.S.s baseless claim.

Iranian Foreign Minister Zarif said on the social network Twitter, the word suspicious can no longer describe what happened this morning.
