Overseas Network, June 14, according to DPRK Central News Agency, 14, in order to hold the election of deputy members of the local peoples Congress on July 21, DPRK has established a Central Election Steering Committee.

Reported that 13, the DPRK Supreme Peoples Congress Permanent Committee announced the candidates for the Steering Committee: Tai Hengche, Vice Chairman of the Supreme Peoples Congress Permanent Committee, served as Chairman, and Jin Pinghai, Vice Chairman of the CPC Central Committee, served as Vice Chairman.

The election of deputy members of the Korean local peoples Congress is held every four years, the last time in July 2015. According to Article 138 of the Korean Socialist Constitution and the decision of the local peoples committee, the election of deputy members of the Dao (municipality directly under the Central Government), the city (district) and the county peoples congresses will be held on July 21, KCNA reported Wednesday.

According to Xinhua News Agency, candidates for deputies to the local peoples Congress in North Korea are directly recommended by voters or by political parties and social groups. After discussion at the electoral meeting, each constituency eventually identifies a candidate.
