Xinjing Express News According to Fujian Wuping Network News, at 16:09 p.m. on June 13, the hillside southwest of Pingchuan Street East Gate Market in Wuping County, Fujian Province, was buried with temporary parked vehicles along Xiangsheng Road on the southern side of the market due to continuous heavy rainfall (242 mm process rainfall) and sudden local landslides due to saturated rainwater.

After the disaster, the local Party committee, government and emergency department in Wuping started the emergency mechanism at the first time, set up the emergency headquarters locally, and made every effort to organize the public security, fire control, housing, natural resources, medical and health departments to carry out on-site rescue.

As of 19:45 p.m. on the same day, after more than three hours of intensive search and rescue, a man was found trapped in a car. After rescue, he died after emergency rescue by medical staff. The man was identified as a 38-year-old resident of Pingchuan Street in Wuping County. At present, on-site cleaning and rescue work is carried out in an orderly manner and basically completed. Rehabilitation work and family reassurance work have been carried out for the deceased. The causes of landslides are under investigation, and the work of eliminating and renovating hidden dangers has started.
