Zuckerberg was accused of being aware of Facebooks illegal practices involving user privacy

Facebook was accused of inappropriately sharing up to 87 million usersinformation to Cambridge Analytica, a former British political consultancy, and the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) launched an investigation.

According to the Wall Street Journal, partly because of these e-mails, Facebook quickly reconciled with the FTC investigation. The Wall Street Journal said it was impossible to determine which e-mails the FTC required and how many of them were related to Zuckerberg.

Facebook says it has so far cooperated fully with the FTC investigation and provided tens of thousands of documents, e-mails and documents.

The company had previously said it was prepared to pay up to $5 billion in settlement fees when it reached a settlement agreement with U.S. government regulators. (Tianmen Mountain)
