After nearly 30 years of returning to the countryside for farming, the founding generals daughter has now entered the Supreme Inspection

Yesterday, two special figures went to the Supreme Peoples Procuratorate for interviews, Gan Gongrong, daughter of General Farmer Gan Zuchang, and Cai Jun, great-grandson of Zeng Zhi, former vice-minister of the Central Group Department.

The governor of Changan Street noticed that, in order not to cause trouble to the organization, Gan Zuchang, the founding general, resigned to work in the countryside for nearly 30 years; Zeng Zhichang, a senior official, was not benevolent to his own interests, let his son continue to work in the countryside, and asked that his ashes be buried under a tree in Jinggang Mountain.

Supreme Procurator Zhang Jun visits Gan Gongrong

On June 12, the Supreme Peoples Procuratorate held an educational report on the theme of never forget the first intention and remember the mission. Zhang Jun, Secretary of the Party Group of the Supreme Peoples Procuratorate and Procurator General, attended the report and made a speech.

In the meantime, Xiao Xiaoming, professor of Jinggangshan Cadre College, as a guest of honor, conducted on-site interviews with General Gan Zuchangs daughter, Gan Gongrong, and Zeng Zhis great-grandson Caijun. Some cadres were moved to tears on the spot.

Gan Zuchang, a native of Lianhua County, Jiangxi Province, joined the Red Army in 1928. After the founding of New China, he was appointed Minister of Logistics of Xinjiang Military Region and was awarded the rank of Major General in 1955.

During the long revolutionary war, Gan Zuchang suffered three serious head injuries. The severe sequelae of concussion made it difficult for him to persist in his leadership work. He was unwilling to add trouble to the organization and asked to go back to his hometown for farming, which was finally approved in 1957.

In the 29 years of rural life, Gan Zuchang participated in productive labor almost every day. Under his leadership, the villagers fought for five consecutive winters and springs, so that the yield per mu increased more than twice. For salaries paid by organizations, most of them are used to build water conservancy and power stations.

On March 28, 1986, Gan Zuchang died of illness in his hometown at the age of 81. Before his death, he had an iron box to keep valuables, and none of his family had ever opened it. Later, his wife, Gong Quanzhen, opened it and found that there were three medals in it: the Bayi Medal, the Medal of Independence and Freedom, and the Medal of Liberation, as well as several notes issued by the Soviet Area during the Jinggangshan Struggle. There was no money in addition.

Gan Zuchang

The governor of Changan Street noticed that, like Gan Zuchangs Changmian hometown, in Jinggangshan Xiaojing, there was a tombstone without any carving, inscribed on it The Soul Returns to Jinggang - Zeng Zhi, an old Red Army soldier. In 1928, at the age of 17, she came to Jinggangshan with the revolutionary troops of southern Hunan led by Zhu De and Chen Yi.

In December 1977, Zeng Zhi resumed his work as Vice-Minister of the Organizational Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China. He participated in organizing the fight against injustices and falsehoods, thus bringing a large number of veteran cadres and scientific and technological personnel back to work. At the Twelfth National Congress of the CPC, she was elected a member of the CPC Central Committee and served as the interim Deputy Secretary of the CPC Central Committee.

Zeng Zhi and her husband Tao Zhu

For the revolutionary cause, Zeng Zhi successively gave his three sons to others and experienced the pain of separation of flesh and blood. After more than 20 years of reunion, the mother who had been a senior official was not benevolent and let her son continue to work in agriculture; Sun Tzu wanted to do a transformation from farming to non-farming, but she refused gracefully; after her death, she left a message that part of my ashes is buried under a tree in Jinggangshan as fertilizer...

Today, Cai Jun, who participated in the highest inspection report meeting, is only an ordinary driver and vehicle dispatcher in Jinggangshan Cadre College. In 1998, when Grandma Tai died, he found dozens of envelopes when he was sorting out the remains. It says how much salary was paid each month, how much money was spent on buying vegetables, and how much was left, which is well-coded. Zeng Zhi said in his will that the total of tens of thousands of Yuan should be handed over to the Central Committee and donated to poor areas.

Zeng Zhi Cemetery

Nowadays, the whole Party is carrying out the theme education of never forget the first heart and remember the mission. What is our original intention and mission? To seek happiness for the Chinese people and revival of the Chinese nation. To listen to the heroic deeds of the revolutionary forefathers is to remind us where the red regime came from and how the new China was built and developed, so as to encourage us to make greater contributions to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
