First, on-track situation. Ran Cheng, director of the China Satellite Navigation System Management Office, said at the annual meeting that the first IGSO satellite of Beidou-3 was launched in April this year and the last backup satellite GEO-8 of Beidou-2 was launched last Friday. At present, there are 38 Beidou satellites in orbit, including 18 Beidou-2 satellites and 20 Beidou-3 satellites, providing services for global users. Full-frequency integrated high-precision chip is being developed, and the performance of Beidou chip will reach a new level. According to domestic media reports, the worlds first high-precision baseband chip Tianqin II, which fully supports Beidou 3s civil navigation signal system, was officially released in Beijing recently. The new board and related products carrying the current strongest Beidou chip are expected to be launched in August this year. According to statistics, the cumulative sales of domestic Beidou navigation chip modules have exceeded 80 million pieces, and the sales of high-precision board and antenna have occupied 30% and 90% of the domestic market share, and exported to more than 100 countries and regions.

According to Ran Chengqi, Beidou system has been widely used in transportation, public safety, agriculture, forestry and fishery, hydrological monitoring, meteorological forecast, communication time series, power dispatching, disaster relief and mitigation, and other fields, and integrated into the core infrastructure of the country. As of April 2019, more than 6.2 million operating vehicles, 30,000 postal and express vehicles, about 80,000 buses, more than 3,200 inland river navigation facilities and 2,900 sea navigation facilities in 36 cities have applied Beidou system. In addition, Beidou system has been widely used in Indonesia land rights confirmation, Kuwait construction, Uganda land testing, Myanmar precision agriculture, Maldives maritime piling, Thai warehousing logistics, Pakistani airport timing and Russian power patrol.

According to statistics released by the Chinese government, 116 mobile phones applied for access to the Internet in the first quarter of 2019 have positioning functions, 82 of which support Beidou positioning, and the support rate of Beidou positioning reaches 70%.
