The full text of the statement is as follows:
Recently, some organizations have published the Top 100 Middle Schools in China and Top 100 Primary and Secondary Schools in China in 2018 lists on the Internet. Now it is solemnly stated that the Ministry of Education has never authorized any organizations or institutions to carry out such ranking activities for primary and secondary schools in China.
Educational evaluation plays an important guiding role. Scientific, standardized and fair educational evaluation is an effective way to improve the quality of education and teaching. However, there are some crude and fraudulent educational evaluations in our society. The standards are not scientific, the operation is not standardized and the process is not open. They can not objectively and impartially reflect the real situation of the school and seriously interfere with the normal educational and teaching order of the school. Here, we remind all primary and secondary schools throughout the country not to participate in such ranking activities. In view of such ranking activities, the Ministry of Education will further intensify its efforts to deal with them in accordance with the law and regulations.
I hereby declare that.
