More than 1700 people participated in fighting the forest fire in Heqing, Yunnan Province. There are still open fires on the eastern line.

At about 2 p.m. on April 12, a forest fire broke out in Xintun Town, Heqing County, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province. According to the Information Office of Heqing County Government, Dali Prefecture, Yunnan Province, as of 7:30 today (14), there are no open fires on the South and North lines of the fire farm; there are still open fires on the east line with a length of about 500 meters, and 1700 people have participated in the fire fighting.

According to reports, there are no villages and important facilities around the fire site. The fire site is mountainous forest land with an average altitude of 2400 meters. The vegetation type is coniferous-broad-leaved mixed forest dominated by Pinus yunnanensis, with dense vegetation. Southwest wind is the main wind force in the fire field, with a maximum temperature of 25 degrees and a slope of nearly 70 degrees.

The steep slopes, dense forests and complex terrain bring great difficulties to the rescue work. In order to extinguish the open fire as soon as possible, the joint fire field command adjusted its deployment in time and adopted the tactics of two wings enclosure, clamp attack. At present, the fire situation has been initially controlled. At the same time, the Emergency Management Department of Southern Airlines Forest Protection Station also sent two helicopters to participate in the fire fighting.
